FAQ
Why can’t I add a photo?
Photos without location data, such as screenshots, can’t be added. Neither can photos taken outside Japan or far from land.
Only some of my photos appear when choosing.
If you allowed access to only some photos, only those appear. You can change this in the iPhone Settings app under Apps → Vestigio → Photos.
Does deleting a photo in Vestigio delete it from the Photos app?
No. Only the copy and record in Vestigio are deleted. When a municipality has no photos left, its fill is removed.
How can I use the prefecture app icons?
The icon for a prefecture you’ve completed (100%) is free. The Japan icon is free once all 47 prefectures have a photo. With Vestigio Pro, you can use them all.
Can I move my records to a new iPhone?
Yes. If you set up your new iPhone from an iCloud backup or a computer backup, or transfer your data with Quick Start, your records come along. Deleting the app also deletes your records, so please be careful.
How do I use Pro on a new iPhone without buying it again?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it, then tap the gear (Settings) at the top right of the map, then Vestigio Pro, then Restore Purchases.
